The Software Outsourcing Summit was organized, already for the second time, by the consortium "Fort Ross Information Technology Services" and the St. Petersburg City Administration. More than 200 software development companies and IT associations took part in the Summit. The Summit has become an international marketplace for meetings, information exchange, and projects negotiation. The growing Russian offshore software development industry is attracting increasingly intense attention from the international software market. Since 2001, when the First Software Outsourcing Summit took place, VIPNET Co has achieved substantial progress in software development methodology and technology. VIPNET presented at the Second Summit new project management tools and reusable components for software project development.
